Need a Pilot

I put this on Craigslist and hope some one responds. Putting it here will create more exposure I hope.If this is not the right forum please move to appropriate one. Thanks for reading folks and any consideration you pilots might have.

Dear sir,

My name is Paul Austin and I have terminal cancer. I am currently under the care of Hospice of Calaveras County. I am still quite spry and mobile and get around quite ok. When I was young I was in the service, Navy, and flew in a P-3 Orion as an aircrew member. Before I die I would consider it a great gift if a person were to take me flying in their plane just for awhile, maybe go for lunch somewhere? I will pay for fuel and pilot time. Might be a good public relations boon, I don't mind the media. Please consider my offer a serious one as I can't seem to get the flying bug out of me for some reason. I live in Valley Springs, CA, but would gladly drive to an airport just to see the planes. Thanks for reading and any consideration you might give this plan.

My phone number is 209-772-eight seven eight three

Call most anytime and thank you,
Respectfully,
Paul

I wish I was a pilot with a plane, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I'll bet you could find someone local, though. Acampo has a group that go skydiving, you probably know.

I can't think of anything else but if I do, I'll let you know.

Good luck, Paul, and happy flying!

I'm sorry about your cancer though. Hospice workers are the best people on the planet. You're in good hands.

AOPA is Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. Their web site has regional forums, and since I'm a member I could put it in the one for your area. I bet someone there might be willing to help you out.

I'd take you myself but I'm in Minnesota and I'd need to get recurrent. Flying kind of sticks with you. I hope you can do this.

The Experimental Aircraft Association has chapters around the world and many of their members own production aircraft. Many others build their own.

You may have some luck by seeking out a chapter near you and talking to the chapter president.
