(56,828 posts)I think we'll get some with the prison crew this week.
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)Also holding classes on how to do it yourself.
It is cold here, so the little bonfire felt great.
The show looks good tonight.
I wonder if the prison group has Thankgiving.
I am sure there must be some wild turkeys somewhere in the woods.
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)Didn't the other guys ever deal with walkers before.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)but, that was close quarters and they were surprised.
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)The gov is a ass hole but he knows how to take a out a walker.
In their world you can't make mistakes.
Brigid
(17,621 posts)He has seen signs of weakness and sloppiness (the drinking, for example) that he cannot tolerate if he is to protect his new family in this group.
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)He does not like weakness.
The brother that was killed freaked out over the heads.
The Gov had heads in water tanks.
Solly Mack
(90,764 posts)I look forward to his demise. I'm just afraid the prison group will suffer losses to get there.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)in that the group will lose a few. But, they have a lot of "red shirts" on the show still, so it's a matter of if you lose Rick, Carl, Daryl, Michonne, Tyreese, Bob, Sasha, Hershel, Maggie, Beth or Judith, (and possibly Carol?) or you lose somebody else.
Solly Mack
(90,764 posts)The "red shirts" are red shirts for a reason.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)is that Hershel is not long for the show - he had his heroic sendoff two episodes ago where he & Maggie held the prison together.
Solly Mack
(90,764 posts)I'm watching the last episode again and it occurred to me that the new woman the Governor hooks up with sorta looks like Maggie. I wonder if that was deliberate - considering his assault on Maggie. Sort of sick twisted turn that would appeal to the Governor.

and also, I re-watched the trailer from Brazil, and in the opening scene Martinez and Co. are approaching a Jeep, guns drawn, then 14 seconds later it looks like Hershel is inspecting the same Jeep.
On edit: different Jeep

(3,922 posts)Maybe this feeling is leftover from watching "The Day of the Doctor" yesterday (the Doctor is an optimist!), but I'm holding onto hope that the Governor is seeking redemption for his past actions.
But I don't think that's going to happen.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)but, the guy's a multiple time mass murderer...
But, I think something will force him over the line
Solly Mack
(90,764 posts)Never liked his character.

Good bye.

NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)where was everybody else?
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)The gov didn't like that trailer.
It was just a matter of time.
Drinking.
I don't think the Gov liked that.

(56,828 posts)he is the guy that can drive the tank?
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)That was one of the Gov's women.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)the guy's an asshole and seems to be losing it
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)I wonder how many groups there are hiding around.
On the road again.
Don't blame the Gov on that one.
I hate him but he knows what to do.
Pit sand walkers.
Brigid
(17,621 posts)Loudly. Best to listen when that happens.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)that was weird

texanwitch
(18,705 posts)Here it comes.
Needs the guy for the tank for the prison.
The Gov is back.
Didn't take long.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)and took it
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)Going to do what it takes.
How much fuel does a tank use.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)probably diesel, too, but I could be wrong
Brigid
(17,621 posts)That's the question.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)to get back at Rick, Michonne and the rest of the prison crew
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)Wonder if the tank has shells.
The tank was in the show for a reason.

(46,703 posts)He had his moment. When someone gets more lines in this show, it usually means they are not long in the zombie new world.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)from last year. Finally got more than "hell yeah" as a line, and then he dies.
Brigid

(13,447 posts)Though I really thought this episode was essentially a trial run to show that a Walking Dead Spinoff could work.
Brigid
(17,621 posts)Hard to believe the season is almost half over already.
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)I wonder how good the Gov's army will be this time.
He does have a tank.
Solly Mack
(90,764 posts)I knew the Governor was still the Governor. I'm already worried about who will die next week. Hope the Governor is one anyway. Fear it might track with the comics so that Hershel and Judith die. Beth, too...holding the baby. (ala Lori in the comics)
Daryl is the wild card. Not in the comics (neither is Beth, for that matter...not by that name anyway).....how will he fare in the show?
Questions. Questions.
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)This is how they keep us coming back.
How long is the break.
Solly Mack
(90,764 posts)The meanies.
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)And rest.
The show looks tough to work on.
Solly Mack
(90,764 posts)Who do you think the marauding gang is killing off the other camps/people?
Wonder if they know about the prison?
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)Who ever did the killing seemed really quiet about it.
Maybe they think the prison is to big to attack.
Enough small groups to pick off.
Solly Mack
(90,764 posts)It was speculation but maybe, just maybe....
Though I honestly can't see the prison crew accepting anything about the Governor.
I hope Michonne kills him.
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)He might work with Rick for a short time then take over.
He has a history now.
Solly Mack
(90,764 posts)On Talking Dead, the preview just now, the Governor's group has some of Rick's people. DM/Guv. said that the prison group will notice their people gone. Wonder if he means Hershel and Michonne.
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)Easy picking, if not paying attention.
Will our guys be up to a fight with the flu.
If the Gov has some of the prison group, the Gov's group might see that the Gov is lying to them.
Solly Mack
(90,764 posts)Had Michonne along for protection. They really should maintain their guard at all times.
I don't much think well of anyone willing to attack another group just to get their stuff. So all the Governor's group could die and I wouldn't care.
The Governor is real good at getting people to believe lies. They want to believe them and some don't care if they are being told lies.
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)He will say and do anything to keep her safe.
He isn't sane anymore.
Solly Mack
(90,764 posts)I mean, since his introduction.
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)It was short lived.
He now wants that prison.
I just noticed he said his father was not so nice him when he was hanging clothes at the beginning.
This might play into this.
Solly Mack
(90,764 posts)texanwitch
(18,705 posts)But it does explain his actions.
His father may have seen him as weak.
With his mind going south, he may be trying to be strong like his father.
The Gov is a bad dude.
He has to be in charge, or he will kill you.
Brigid

Solly Mack
(90,764 posts)texanwitch
(18,705 posts)Carol is gone.
Maybe Bob will do something brave next week.
He did help save the flu victims.
Solly Mack
(90,764 posts)That he had to stay sober or else until the people got their meds.
texanwitch
(18,705 posts)He knew how to give the meds to the flu victims.
I don't like that he wrecked the Big Spot store, that place had lots of good stuff.
I may change my mind next week.
Brigid
(17,621 posts)1. The guys the Governor took out in this episode were mostly ex-army, and they seem to have bugged out when it hit the fan -- unreliable, in other words.
If our guys were all healthy and ready it would be ok.
We are missing Carol, Glen is sick.
Two are out in the woods.
Doesn't look so good.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)also have some experience, no?
the group in Woodbury really had nobody, either. Merle was it - Martinez/Shumpert?

Brigid
(17,621 posts)I had been enjoying these Governor-centric episodes, I'd forgotten that Daryl does not yet know what happened. That will not sit well with him. I wonder if he will decide to go looking for her.
