I was reading the "Installation Process" under the Test Boot section.
They are 2 pins in the lower right corner somewhere and what you are going to do is to touch them with the flat head screw driver for just a second completing the circuit and thus powering on the CPU.
I think I would advise my friend to include the warning:
You should be stone cold sober when you perform this step
