No forced entry so that was a weird thing from the start. There's a keycard to get into the building and then a deadbolt and regular door lock. Regardless, they got in.
There are four cabinets with metal roll tops. Each of the four had been pried open at the top. NONE of them were locked and all they had to do was roll them up a little to see what was inside. Inside was: boxes of business cards, a hard hat, & some catalogs. I guess the thought of something being locked was too irresistible, lol.
All they took was a lap top from 2003 that didn't work. It had been repaired twice but finally gave up the ghost earlier this year. I have no idea why the employee still had it sitting there.
The office directly above was also broken into and it was significant enough to have the police come and check for fingerprints and make a report. They asked if my husband wanted to file a report and the employee said he was glad to never see that laptop again!
