So Marty goes back to 1955 and, after a week's worth of shenanigans, helps his parents to get together.
Of course, the alteration to the circumstances of their union results in his parents turning out much cooler than in the primary timeline, though they still live in the same small house, and their adult children still live at home.
Couple o' questions:
1. What happened to George and Lorraine from the primary timeline? A main plot-point is that Marty was being "erased from existence" due to his Delorean joyride. George Prime and Lorraine Prime are likewise erased, but no one bats an eye. WTF?
2. Similarly, what happened to the Marty from the new timeline prior to Marty Prime's leap back to 1955. Since Marty Prime has no memory of the modified, cooler family/house/truck, but the family knows him, we conclude that there was a Marty in that timeline, but he's been erased as well. Again, WTF?
This is important, dammit!

(50,557 posts)In this very short film, Marty and Doc travel to 2014 and discover imdb.com. After reading Claudia's filmography, Marty decides he wants a girlfriend with the long and productive screen life ahead of her that acting in Reagan Administration just-say-no films will preclude. After renting Adventures in Babysitting from some newfangled thing called Netflix, Marty dumps Claudia for Elisabeth (who, conveniently, plays the daughter of the Parker family originally of Boston as opposed to Claudia's screen family originally of Oklahoma; the first daughter in every generation of Elisabeth's screen family has been named Jennifer starting when their famed hotel was a two-room B&B catering to whalers) and the rest is, as they say, history.
