Pet peeve #653 - advertisements @ the theatre...
NOTE - I know it's best not to spend the money in the first place. But for the sake of this thread let's just assume you have decided to do so!
Saw the Hobbit - Desolation of Smaug the other day with my father in theatre.
So you pay your $30 for 2 tickets
Pay an additional $15-20 for popcorn and drinks
Find your seat. You have given them ~$50 for a 2-3 hour movie. So what's next? Well let's start off with 20 MINS OF FUCKING ADVERTISEMENTS! Seriously considering the price is it too much to ask not to see 20mins of ads for Coke, Ford, Telus, etc etc? And we haven't even gotten to the coming attractions trailers yet.
