"I might fail because I have an inner ear problem." - Famous last words

I was leaving work tonight and noticed a neat pile of vomit next to a car in the parking lot. Since I work at a drug store, I didn't consider that deeply suspicious so I continued walking. Until I noticed the door to the car was cocked open and a person was reclined back in the drivers seat.

Well, there was no way I could just walk away from that. So I rang the police and I told them to haul ass over since I didn't want to have to climb through a hill of vomit to wrestle the keys away. As soon as the cop car pulled up, the driver attempted to simply drive away. Worst idea ever, I know. If they didn't have evidence she was operating a motor vehicle intoxicated before they arrived, they certainly had evidence now.

Anyway, so cops are on both sides of the car screaming at her to stop and get out. I thought she was going to try to drive through other vehicles. Fortunately, she had the "brains" to call it quits before someone was injured or dead. She hobbled out of the driver's seat and immediately tried to call her mother to pick her up like the cops would just say goodnight and go back to the station. They pull her off to the side to run a sobriety test and that is when the famous last words were uttered.

Failed with flying colors. I wish they'd made her clean up her pile of puke but, alas, such tasks are left to the overnight crew.

Any possibility she wasn't intoxicated?... Locut0s Dec 2013 #1
Well, you could smell the alcohol from the vomit wafting through the parking lot. Gravitycollapse Dec 2013 #2

I'm playing devils advocate here as it certainly sounds like she was and have NO sympathy for her is she was. Only reason I mention it is cause she was at the drug store. Just thinking a possible alternative explanation IS an inner ear infection which can make you dizzy and vomit like mad and was going to the drug store to get meds. Still crazy stupid to be driving under that condition either way though.

I mean, technically speaking since this is an inductive inference, there is always a possibility I'm wrong no matter how remote. But I'd bet my paycheck on the likelihood that she was intensely intoxicated.
