Any recommendation for an afternoon at the movies?

Mrs. RandySF and the kid are going to visit a friend of hers and give be a Boxing Day afternoon all to myself. I already saw the Hobbit, so I am debating between 47 Ronin and Wolf of Wall Street. Any suggestions?

1. I've heard Catching Fire is better than the first movie, Hunger Games

Haven't seen it yet, though. Enjoy your alone time!

2. Just back from seeing Life of Walter Mitty, I can recommend it.

Have not seen any other new releases.

3. Philomena. One of the most stunning movies I have ever seen.

Don't watch the trailer as I think it gives too much away.

4. American Hustle.

Entertaining throughout with a fantastic cast. I actually applauded at the end, because I was so caught up in the plot(s), and I never do that!

May see it then, as its at my 'neighborhood' theater. Hadn't been thinking of it.

7. I see most movies

(husband works in the business), so I can be pretty jaded. This movie is based on the abscam scandal of the 70's, which makes for some interesting wardrobe selections and hairdos of the era. The character development throughout the plotline was impressive, and I found the whole movie hit all the bases. Check it out!

8. I saw Nebraska and also Philomena. I'd give both 3 on a scale of 1-4.

Nothing else out there I want to see right now.

9. We saw Wolf of Wall Street yesterday and American Hustle couple of days ago.

Wolf of Wall Street is VERY long--too long--Scorsese is not known for
his editing skills. Frankly, I found it a little boring. DiCaprio was excellent,
though, as usual.

American Hustle was interesting; I'm old enough that I vaguely remember
Abscam. Amy Adams, Christian Bale and Bradley Cooper all turn in terrific
performances. Wardrobe for the guys was spot on; no women in the
late 70's/early 80's EVER dressed for a business meeting the way Amy
Adams' character was turned out. It really bothered me to see the accurate
clothing for the men and Hollywoodized, slutted up attire for the woman
who was supposed to be passing herself off as someone with a British title.
