I got pissed off at MFM once.

He was having a particularly 'productive' evening here.
The Lounge was solid MFM for the first 8 or 9 posts.
And it looked to be about every other one after that.

I thought "What a narcissistic, 'Look at me' jerk."

And then I started to read them.
They were hilarious.

He had an uncanny sense of humor.
A real talent.

I will miss him.

I did not know until yesterday that his name is Jim. Well, Jim accomplished a lot on this earth.

Remember, he would get kind of perturbed if he didn't get many replies? His subject line was always so hilarious and spot-on, that I could never think of anything to add! He only wanted us to kick them so others could see them.

I hope he knows that I tried.

I'm having a hard time getting over this.

that the time he was really upset about us not liking his posts
was just after he had one of his heart hospitalizations, I think it might have been some surgery???
and I recall reading that often people get very emotional after heart surgury.
So took his remarks with a grain of salt and PM'd him, cause he really was sounding very down
and he sent a very sweet reply.

After that, there was another hospital trip and I think it was then that Kali mentioned here we were his only family.

He still feels immortal to me......

it was thoughtful of you to write to him. I know he put so much time into those posts and did it for us. Even when he was so seriously ill, he found the energy to be funny. God bless him, he was such a good person.

and, until a recent list purge, I had him on ignore for the better part of his time here. I will admit I did not get his humor, but I will miss him, and my heart hurts for those who knew him well. The day we lose a DUer is always a horrible day. My thoughts are with you all.

It just reminds me how much people have made this little corner of the internet a home of the heart. A guy with a pretty rough life but a fine and funny mind can find a home. Here's to the MFM Lounge.
