Seahawks block NFC Title Game ticket sales to California and 43 other states

The good feelings between the 49ers and Seahawks could never last.

Last week, fans from both teams decided to donate money to children’s hospitals in Seattle and San Francisco. Now, the Seahawks are limiting ticket sales to just six states and the Canadian Provinces.

Only credit cards with addresses from Oregon, Washington, Montana, Idaho, Alaska and Hawaii will be allowed to buy tickets to Sunday’s NFC Championship between the 49ers and Seahawks at CenturyLink Field in Seattle. That’s it.

Please notice that California was not on that list. The move will help preference tickets to Seahawks fans and, the team hopes, eliminate scalpers.

Niner fans are known for traveling. This season, several road stadiums were packed with 49ers fans, and 49ers’ play-by-play voice Ted Robinson said there were droves of 49ers fans in Charlotte for Sunday’s 23-10 road win over the Panthers.

The restriction means 49ers fans will have to go to the secondary market to buy tickets. According to CBS Sports, the cheapest seats are going for $330. So 49ers fans: Good luck, bring your wallet and, by the way, the fan rivalry is back on.

The scalper line is bullshit. They just want as many Seahawk fans in the stadium as possible for the noise.

People with credit cards in Oregon, Washington, Montana, Idaho, Alaska and Hawaii will be making a lot of money off of 49ers fans.

It's also attempted murder. They're trying to give Jim Harbaugh a heart attack. I can't imagine the fit he's throwing right now.

GO 49ERS!!!! Love, A Bears Fan!!

How is that even legal?

NFC and AFC championship games should be played in neutral territory. Home field advantage is b.s.

That's the traditional way in almost any sport. baseball used to alternate, now they have the ridiculous idea of All-Star game deciding it. The local fans paid the money all year, they get the game.
And it's only the penultimate game.
The final game is at aneutral site (except by coincidence).
And sorry, the ridiculous comment was over the top.

that the 49ers fought their way to their position and also deserve home field advantage, hence the teams should be playing at a neutral field.

Home Field Advantage? The team with the best records gets homefield advantage. It is a model that works well and keeps competition up until the last day of the season.

Pointing it out does make it whining, because I am sure that all of the Forty Whiner fans would be calling the Seahawks whiners if it was the other way around.

BTW: I hate all four teams left in the playoffs, so I am not biased towards any one team left.

A Superbowl with the Seahawks and the New England Patriots. I told her you are being a bit to quick to give a pass to the 49ers. They have a different team since the last time they met. But hey, I am a Raiders fan.. either way is fine by me.
