When my youngest stepdaughter was in college in San Diego, she ran into Bill Murray at a Padres game. For some odd reason they got into talking about sailing, and he asked her and a friend if they wanted to go sailing the next weekend.
Well, there was a bit of misunderstanding, as each thought the other owned a sailboat.
My stepdaughter, ever resourceful, managed to borrow a sailboat from one of her professors, and they all had a perfectly wonderful time sailing in the harbor. He was a perfect gentleman, she said.
They did a few more fun things before she graduated and came back home to New England.
and pretty hilarious in itself...
