I will stay at the start of this thread that thanks to the kindness of a friend and a deal for our apartment building My wife and I got cable for the first time in 4 years. Our friend is paying the bill for the first 6 months.
So my wife is watching the food network and saw a new show with Rachael Ray. She turned to me and asked What is wrong with her voice? I did the usual thing and said I don't know
I don't pay attention to stuff like that.
She said it sounded lower and gravel like.

(14,061 posts)1. Not a fan, but apparently she's had surgery on her vocal cords

I thought that was what happened, but just wanted to check to be sure. Although this happened in 2009, I think the surgery can leave after-effects like a raspier sounding voice.

(12,296 posts)3. Maybe something got dinged when she had her boob job.
She's absolutely hideous looking in the promos for this season's "Rachel vs. Guy".

(30,947 posts)4. I think I have read that she has had some kind of throat problem.
But when I saw her yesterday on Guy vs. Rachael, her voice sounded normal.
