Making a full figured woman comparatively anorexic is disturbing. Not to mention the proportions are all off now. Maybe she should paint her own works of art instead of defacing other peoples'. I assume she also has a shelf full of colorized movies too.

I love women who look like women

not little boys with breasts

Seriously. Keep yer Sports Illustrated starvation experiments, I want gravitas, I want substance.

I'm involved with a woman like that now.

I hold her with all my might.

Every night.

"Teenaged boys with peach pits in their shirt pockets" and had his protagonist go on to become involved with a full figured woman, though Robinson described her much more lovingly.

As a "substantial" woman, that made me feel good.

Absolute worst. A collection of stone tablets buried in a swamp and separated by hundreds of yards of alligator-infested muck would be better. Somebody somewhere must get paid a five hundred dollars every time an online slideshow is posted; what else could possibly justify the continued use of this clunky and restrictive format?

Beyond that, meh. Healthy, beautiful women come in all shapes and sizes. To condemn one group as "too skinny" to be attractive is every bit as bad as declaring another group "too fat."

I agree, the format is an absolute pain. I am posting one of the pics to save people from having to go to the link. I hope any mod or jury will see it as art and not as nudity for nudity's sake.

And in one case, made them larger. In real life, that wouldn't happen without surgical intervention.

Ms. Giordano is not improving the originals, she is changing the originals to confront us with our own unrealistic expectations for the female form. I do know women who are naturally as slim as her photoshops, but none who are as slim and with large breasts. Which is worse, Ms. Giordano's photoshops, or the many women who submit to surgery so they may resemble them?

But if that's the effect she's going for she's done a great job. The photoshopped women look surprisingly cheesy.

Art is always in search of the perfect physical form,' Giordano says on her website. 'It has evolved through history, from the classical proportions of ancient Greece to the prosperous beauty of the Renaissance, to the spindly look of models like Twiggy and the athletic look of our own time.'
(bold mine)

Does she really think she's making the women in these paintings athletic? Twiggy, to the best of my knowledge, is one of those naturally thin women, not an anorexic junkie.

If she's really trying to point out how wrong what she's done to these is, great! If she really thinks they look better this way, Eww!
