sometimes, I like to make up funny stories to substitute for bad things......

So, Philip Seymour Hoffman overdosed on weed.

Right before he had an interview scheduled on Letterman.

Before the limo came to get him, he had the munchies and attacked the refrigerator. That was a mistake, though, he could feel it in his gut as he entered the studios. Then, sure enough, while he was talking with Dave, the unthinkable happened.......

Philip Seymour Hoffman ...well, to be polite....had massive digestive upset on national television, right there with David Letterman!!
Dave tried to politely ignore the unwelcome noises, but could barely hold it in---his laughter, I mean. Philip was still toasty and just laughed hysterically, then launched into an extended flatulence riff.......

When he got home that night, he raided the refrigerator some more and then rolled into bed and fell asleep, knowing that his mishap would make the papers the next day, but laughing too hard to care.

silly, I know. I wish, though......
