family, one at one grandparents house, and the third at my other grandparents house - Sunday dinner, after all!

Let's see....8 years old....and completely, utterly blown away! It encouraged me to start playing guitar!

I was just 15 when I went to the concert down at the old Chicago Amphitheatre. My parents sat and drank in the Stock Yards Inn while waiting. And, yes, it was amazing.

The next day the girls at my school were all buzzing about which Beatle they loved the best. My English teacher, who was in his mid 20s and kind of had an Ed "Kookie" Burns look going and who used to sing Pat Boone tunes to the class with his guitar said the Beatles were uglier than any of the boys in his class, had no talent, and that they wouldn't last.

having a Beatlegasm with most of the rest of our family and their neighbor Gail. The rhythm guitar knocked me out from the start. It does to this day.

The day of the roof top concert I was probably sitting in Sr. Margaret's class wishing I was anywhere else.

January 30, 1969-- probably completely oblivious to the existence of the Beatles. The main singers/groups who were being talked about at school that I can remember were Perry Como, Johnny Cash, Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass, Roger Miller.

But singing along with the Beatles on the radio, and later, on that stupid cartoon show.

Some of the very earliest songs I can remember were Beatles' songs, "Yesterday" being at the top of that list.
