SO it looks like the surgery has been cancelled...

Not that I am cured, I was not even scheduled but was told my surgery would be in March. Today I talked to the doctors, the surgeons and they told me, it would probably be better if I avoided the pre surgery process, which involves injecting dye, and sending two little probes up my veins to check on some things. They said my kidneys might not like that dye, and I could go into Renal failure, and possibly expire.

Well.. no one wants that. They have seen my doctor's notes and agree that the medications I am taking is helping the situation. I may be on it the rest of my life, but hey...if that is a long life, so much the better, and it beats the alternative, right?

I left the hospital today feeling pretty damn good.. despite the regiment of medications they have me taking. I can live with that..

I think your doctors are being hyper-cautious, and that's probably wise. You are young and it's best to do what's working well for you.

Down the road, things may be different, and there might be better options. Time will tell...

Take care!

All the best to you, sweetie!

But medical treatments are advancing everyday so in the future they may be easier or even cure your condition one day.

Gun battle me.

Seems like I will be going to the hospital often and being checked on, blood tests,
etc. At least they arranged free transportation for me, that's a plus.

About 5 months ago I was admitted for Heart Failure. (It was nice the MFM gave me some lovely tips especially about asking for a sponge bath..but It never worked out..they threw me the stuff and told me to do it myself when I wanted to bathe.) Than recently they told me I was having kidney problems, along with high blood pressure, from this thing on my adrenal gland. They wanted to remove the adrenal gland but thought it was just better to treat my HBP and hope that things don't get worse. Thanks for your post!

If medications can take care of the problem, at least for now, it is better than going through major surgery.

My best to you. I'm thankful you have a medical team that is looking out for your well-being.

My eye problems have made me a regular at UCSF, and I think I'm getting the best care in the world.

Whatever local facility you're going to, I hope they're giving you the good care you deserve.
