I just learned that a friend of mine lost his father about 3 weeks ago. Anyone know what etiquette allows for sending a Sympathy card? 3 Weeks to me sounds like a long time and I don't want to open wounds if they are just getting over his loss. Thanks!

Thanks! We live in an era where everyday etiquette is really not practiced. We do what we want when we want and follow our own rules and wanted to make sure. I know there must be a cut off (a month? 3 months? 6 months?) 3 weeks sounds good though. Thanks again!
