The struggle is worth it. Find a system that works for you. Bill W's group is one of many. If for some reason that does not work, look elsewhere. If it works, embrace it. Take each day as they come and I hope you find peace.

aka Overeaters' Anonymous. She lost 110 lbs, went down about 10-15 lbs. lower than she needed to, then gained a bit and learned how much to eat to maintain her best weight.
In OA they say, about eating, "You don't just have to feed the tiger, you have to get into the cage with the tiger when you feed it".

She has had great friendships with different sponsors : the "support" in the term support group can be an important part of the Twelve Step programs.

I like the the serenity prayer~ (The twelve step programs tell you you don't have to believe in God, just think of a higher power than yourself.)

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And wisdom to know the difference..
