As many know, I am trying my best to learn Spanish.

And I am very lucky that where I am living right now that some of my neighbors are native speakers! They have been so nice to help me and correct me so that I don't sound like an idiot. And I know that many a time I butchered the poor language!
It is nice to have people willing to be used as sounding boards and help in this endeavor!

I have learned a good deal of Spanish. I had a year of Spanish in high school, and the real lingo is nothing like what's in the books.
Most of the friends and co-workers I know respect me more because I speak, or try. Good luck, it's not the hardest language to learn.
I was given the nickname Panadero because my last name is Baker.

I took Germen back in College. And I have been told that if you can get 1 foreign Language down, the 2nd. is way easer. At this point, I'm not sure of that hypothesis.

I will keep trying! Living here in AZ now, I feel like I will help me to not feel so much the outsider.

of the various restaurants he's worked in. He tells me that spanish-speaking people are sort of flattered that you want to learn and are very helpful. He's quite conversant in the language and speaks with his friends all of the time...
