Cockatrice

A cock's egg hatched under a toad or serpent becomes a cockatrice or basilisk. It is a creature poisonous at a distance and poisons by it's eye. It infects first the brain, then the heart. It is pictured often with wings, legs, and a serpent's tail.

But that's what you would get if a cock did lay an egg, and it was hatched by a serpent. I'm almost certain of it.
