I'm a fan of all of the "Ricky" Nelson hits, and I know "Garden Party" is supposed to be his "Rick" Nelson peak, BUT...

...his cover version of "She Belongs To Me" is what I consider to be his personal best.

Just as Hendrix claimed "All Along The Watchtower," this is a Rick Nelson song. And I say that as a Deadhead, more or less. Weir did a pretty good job...but he came in second to Rick.

Rick Nelson put his mark on that song. He doesn't get the credit that he deserves. He was always considered just a pretty boy, but he had the chops.
