If I hear that song on the radio ONE MORE TIME, I'm gonna...

Right now I would be glad to see every existing copy of Pharrell's "Happy" dropped into an active volcano. Every half hour, there it is again.

What song(s) would you like to see pulled from your favorite station's playlist, either temporarily or permanently?

I've felt like that since 1971 when a roommate played them continuously for months and wouldn't let me play anything else.

Mostly it's great. When the same song is on 3 of my 5 presets at the same time, not so great.

I remember hearing awhile back that she was considering delaying release of any more songs from the album because of the overexposure she's gotten- she didn't want fans getting sick of her.

But really, most of radio. It's ironic that I'm in the music profession and still to this day have no iPod.

I could give you a list of songs I'm tired of hearing sung on karaoke, but that would be a pretty lengthy list.

Lorde - Team and that other song of hers. Overplayed and her voice grates on me.

Great Big World - "Say Something". The whiniest song ever. Every single damn time I hear it, I want to slap that guy silly.

Thankfully, I have Pandora which I can connect to the car.
Bitter : Sweet, Morcheeba and Caro Emerald are my go to stations when I am tired of the radio.
If I want something a little bit more radio popular, I'd plug in the station of Train.

Menzel has a fantastic Broadway voice and just knocks the shit out of that song. If you like Broadway and never heard it... (what rock do you live under?)...it's really nicely done.

But, I've heard the original at least 60 times and have three kids (9, 6 & 4) none of whom can carry a tune in a bucket. They know all the words and really enjoy belting it out in unison or at least a facsimile of in unison.

There are only so many times that you can say "That's great sweetheart" when what you really mean is "Please help Daddy out here and jam this icepick into my ears would you?"

I have heard Hotel California enough for 100 lifetimes, also Stairway to Heaven I do not need to hear ever again. The "classic rock" stations are still playing the same garbage they played when I was in junior high...yech!

I like classic rock, but not "classic rock" in the radio station definition, which is overplayed stuff I didn't care for when it first came out. From time to time I have to suffer listening 6 or 7 hours of someone playing this horrible radio station ( 'The Ride' ) on a boombox at a worksite. I don't even know why they call it top-40; it's more like 15 or 20. Then there are the screaming commercials. UGH!!

Way WAY too much "1st track of side A" or hits of bands that had so much better to offer, or just plain vapid bands. Way way WAY too much Eagles, Fleetwood Mac and other "safe" music. It's so obvious they're playing to a demographic who wish it were 1977 again and that were never in to music beyond the most played stuff even then. UGH!!
