Just a follow up to a previous thread, for me, it's the group "America."

(50,566 posts)Well, really, I loved their first album and went to their concert. Then I lost interest. Now I can't listen to them at all.
But do they "suck"? I don't know. It's hard to say with music, as it is very subjective, obviously.

Justin Bieber that's your future!

(5,364 posts)And by "now you think they suck" I don't mean that I don't like the sound of the band today, that is, their present sound. I mean I don't like the band's sound, even their heyday sound; whereas I used to like them.
Elton John
Fleetwood Mac
( The ) Eagles
They sound so limp, cheesy and vapid now, and even worse as they're overplayed on those awful "classic rock" radio stations.

The only other act I can really think of that I owned albums by and now consider myself an "un-fan" would be Amy Grant.

(10,893 posts)but I do have one rapper who I thought was great but realized he isn't that great lyrically--Mistah FAB. I like that he is a local rapper, but when he was battling and exchanging diss tracks with another rapper (Royce da 5'9" , he got utterly destroyed. And looking back at his "Ghostride the Whip" song, the beats were OK, but the lyrics sounded so simplistic that a 4th grader could've written something like that. I also think Mac Dre is a little bit overrated lyrically, even though all the stuff he rapped about from his life was real.
