"I Want to Live" (1958) is the story of Barbara Graham, the last woman executed in California. The role won Susan Hayward (the youngsters are saying "who?" an Oscar.

(66,369 posts)Some of Aaron Sorkin's best writing ever (and that's saying something...), not Tom Cruise's worse acting ever, Demi Moore in Navy whites, and no scenery left unchewed by Jack Nicholson. Plus, a highly under-rated dramatic performance by comic actor Kevin Pollack.
The Velveteen Ocelot
(115,693 posts)A Civil Action
A Man for All Seasons
Presumed Innocent

(448 posts)want to just repeat them I'll mention one I love (don't know if it's considered a "courtroom drama" . it's called "Primal fear" and it stars Richard Gere, Edward Norton, Jr., and Laura Linney. It think it came out in the mid to late 90's.

(3,518 posts)The movie had a few problems. most notably the lame love story that was tacked on but the courtroom scenes with Humphrey Bogart make it all worthwhile.
