I've had three cats, all rescue, and two of them have been black. And I have four good friends who also have black cats. I think they're beautiful and mine just happened to also be extremely smart...

4. One of the four kittens born in my apartment in Irving was a black male kitty.

I had him for nearly two years before he disappeared. I have his photo on my computer and still think about him. He ws a great friend along with his calico sister who is with my sister. I hope to be reunited with her soon.

Black kitties (and black dogs) are always hard to place (as many of the up-posts indicate). You definitely NEED a black cat, and there are many out there waiting for good homes.

All black cats are Democrats, too.

I adopted a black lab/pit bull mix, she's the best and sweetest dog in the whole world! Maybe people find them scary, I don't know.
