Spring has sprung finally. Saw a momma canada goose with 8 goslings. My cousins

had humming birds hover around them....right where the hummingbird feeder will soon be....as if to say "I'm back from the south...where is the feeder?". Lilacs everywhere. Tulips. That was one long winter in this neck of the woods.

We used to hear them in the morning flying over in formation and honking up a storm.

It seems they haven't migrated in years. Shame...

On edit: it was the geese flying over and honking, not us.

I noticed the first goslings along a road side pond earlier in the week.

By June 21st...you'd never know they were fledged only weeks prior.

Last year we had a pair of ducks nesting in a secluded part of our yard for several weeks. Unfortunately they were never hatched as we believe the nest was raided by a raccoon or other critter. Pity.

I hear you on the winter...finally.
