Technically he's the furchild of my roommates. But they are backpacking the John Muir trail and have been gone for nearly 3 weeks. All was fine until my 3rd roommate moved out last week. Now it's just me and Oliver and he is never not being a big baby unless he's physically crushing me with love. Also, I'm pretty allergic to him so every morning I wake up it feels like I have a head cold.
Here he is in all his majesty (taken a year and a half ago so he's even larger now).
The body of a Great Dane and the personality of a Poodle. You can imagine the consequences.

I don't even want to think about how that happened.

(14,549 posts)I have two Great Dane / Lab mixes -- each is around 110 pounds. I trained them to sleep back to back with me and they take turns on the bed and then the floor. If it is cold then both will get on the bed. I put a third pillow at the foot of the side of the bed which I am not sleeping on and they each take one pillow. They love to sleep.
I got these two after having two Boxers that were world class bed hogs so I trained them early to share. I like it when they sleep against my lower back as it warms and relaxes those muscles.
This is them at 4 months old (about 50 pounds each):
