You know how I love off-beat art projects.
The back story- About 4 years ago I got a new cell phone. I usually snap pics of the pets in my lap, but on this day none were there, so I just started snapping shots of my hand. I was really just testing the phone camera for its quality. The pics turned out okay, but I lost track of them until I just found them on an old backup disk.
This is from the time I was getting sick and fighting for my life. I was unable to eat, and I was losing weight rapidly. At 6' 4" I was soon to reach 170 lb. You can see this thinness reflected in the photo.
This time period is nothing more than a blur to me- I had forgotten all about these snaps. Finding them brought back the memory for the first time.
I've always thought of doing a series of hand portraits, but it never seemed a practical thing to carry out, so it never happened. After finding my quickie hand pics I did a Google image search and was surprised to see hundreds of hand shots available, many by professional photographers and artists. So I decided to throw this sample to the winds, just because I had it and I have a LOT of free time on my hands. I never considered it to have any artistic significance, but I hope you enjoy it anyway.
