Favorite Robert Redford movies?

Three Days of the Condor
Sneakers
The Natural

Also liked him in the second Captain America movie, "Winter Soldier"

I had to agree with Samuel Jackson when he mentioned on The Daily Show that he couldn't figure out how they got Redford to take the part for that movie (it's quite out of character normally, yet there's still plenty of intrigue to attract him I would guess )

Otherwise for pure starring roles a tossup between Three Days of the Condor and All the President's Men.

difficult time in my life earlier this year (and couldn't get past the first 10 minutes)... things are better now; might give it a go again. I really like Redford and the movie seemed compelling.

I also like Sneakers, The Natural and A River Runs Through It.

so not sure how he makes the cut in A River Runs Through It since wasn't he only The Narrator in that? I don't recall him playing a role.

Also, I have to mention The Sting ... one of my all time favorite movies.

As for ... All Is Lost ... I knew nothing going into it and had no idea what to expect.

The tensions just kept building and The movie is half over before one word is spoken.

I don't know. I can see why some would be bored with it but, I was scared to death for the man

I kept thinking ... any minute now ... Something Is going to happen ... lol ...

I haven't yet been in the right mood to watch "All Is Lost" so maybe I'll put it on Netflix

Shortly after it came out on DVD.

Roomie and I started it intending to watch only a few minutes as it was well past 10PM.

We were both mesmerized and ended up watching the entire thing.

I loved his transformation into a mountain man in a harsh environment although I didn't care for the ending. I assume you mean Redford's acting roles since he's been so productive in his career as a director and producer as well.

"The Sting"
"The Horse Whisperer"

I would love him in anything. Wasn't he in that dumb movie, "Bus Riley's Back in Town" with Ann-Margret? Even that one! LOL

I'm a sucker for classic rom-coms.

Current ones, not so much.

Plus it's a Neil Simon play.

How can anyone NOT love it?

I saw it once in the early 70s at an art-house cinema. Southern gothic with Natalie Wood, it made a big impression on me and it was the first movie I ever saw Redford in.

because it's the first Redford movie I ever saw, I had a HUGE tween crush on him, and saw it again and again and again.

I've liked almost everything he's done; another favorite: A River Runs Through It
