I just saw Guardians of the Galaxy and I have to say this about Marvel Studios (No Spoilers)..

They took an obscure set of characters, created a snarky trailer that got everyone curious, and now they are set to make almost $100 million with a movie that was pretty good. Hats off to Marvel.

1. My 60 year-old neighbors loved it and plan to see it again.

With a wide demographic like that it will do very well.

2. I'd give props to director James Gunn...

His vision for these z-list characters has been vindicated. It proves that you don't need A-list IP to make a great comic based movie. The sequel is already planed for 2017.

Gunn mentioned that he wants to do a Thunderbolts movie. I think he'll get whatever he wants after Guardians success.

4. It feels like a high powered Firefly movie, without as much darkness.

10. You know Fillion had a voice part?

So cool. Be great if he'd have a role in the next one; he can always bring the snarky humor.

6. I got to buy the T-Shirt which came with a Tub of Popcorn.

I wanted the T-Shirt, the Popcorn... I didn't even eat an eighth of, which was sad.

7. Shirt?! That devious woman...

THAT must be why my wife sent me off to secure seats while she waited in line at the snack bar - she must have known I would want the shirt too if I had seen it.

4. The Avengers
5. Iron Man 2
6. Captain America: The First Avenger
7. Thor: The Dark World
8. Thor
9. Iron Man 3
10. The Incredible Hulk
