I just found out that my next door neighbor came up with the "This is your brain on drugs" campaign.

He was in advertising and came up with the anti-drug campaign with the frying egg. When he retired they gave him a golden frying pan.

He died awhile ago and they had an estate sale recently. I found out about him from the people who were managing the sale. There were some videos of old ad campaigns also. He did campaigns for Reagan and Dukakis among others.

After he retired he became a fairly successful artist.

I wish had known all of this while he was living next door but he, and probably me too, kept to ourselves.

I assume that's one of the things they wanted to keep.

And on the other side I had a "Hey Mabel, Black Label!" poster. Circa 1989.
