My Mother has passed away.
After a long battle with peripheral neuropathy and osteo-athritis, and two TIAs. She left us early this morning. I take great comfort in knowing her suffering is over, and that wherever souls might meet, she and my Father are together once again.

I lost my own mother last summer and like yourself posted about it on DU. I took great comfort in the warm and kind response I got from this community, I am sure you will do the same.
Losing a parent is a terrible loss. May you find peace and comfort knowing her pain and suffering have ended.

I know what it's like, SCE. My dad went through a long, difficult period of illness before he died, too. And yes, you miss them terribly but if you're open to the message, you may get "word" that they're OK. As TNNurse said upthread, she will always be with you.

RIP for your mom. My mom passed on 8 years ago. I still love & miss her as I'm sure you will. As Vice President told the families of deceased service people, I promise you that someday (hopefully soon) the thought of your mom will bring the smile before the tear. It sounds like she probably had a good long life and maybe it was time but losing your Mom is never easy. I wish mine could live forever but alas I know that she won't and I dread the day.
