I adored the Digital shorts of Adam Sanberg. Was also a big fan of Bill Murray. And I think Kate McKinnon and Taran Killam will roll in the next great generation of work for SNL

4. I loved Phil Hartman.

I actually do think Will Ferrell was a great cast member, even though I know some DUers dis him a lot.

Loved Gilda, too, and Dan Akroyd and Bill Murray.

Belushi -- He had some funny characters, but was a misogynistic asshole, and I have an overall negative view of him.

5. Hartman was my favorite, and it should be said that he stood out in a really strong cast.

OTOH, Eddie Murphy and Will Ferrell basically carried the show during some really weak seasons, and there's something to be said for that too.

From Judy Miller, to Roseann Roseannadanna, to Lisa Loopner, to Emily Litella, to Candy Slice, to Nadia Comanec, Gilda made us laugh 'til we cried.

Belushi singing as Joe Cocker with Joe Cocker was priceless.

He was funny and brilliant. And he nailed some many characters. Never forget his Nixon...or his Jimmy Carter!
