Laphroaig 18yo is my favorite but I don't get to have that too much. The 10 is ok but suddenly costs twice what I used to get it for...so is the Quarter Cask. Damn scotch got expensive when I wasn't looking!

and simply listen to how beautiful it is to hear someone (in this case, Scottish actor Brian Cox) properly pronounce the names of good scotches. Man, Americans butcher the names of some of the better scotches.

Mr. Cox agrees with your choice of Lagavulin. It's his favorite. "The cognac of whiskeys. Works like a depth charge...pow!"

Bourbon must be aged in the barrel, and then the barrel must be used to age Scotch.

It was wonderful! Unfortunately planned to go to the 2:30 whisky tasting and it was sold out - but other than that a great day.

The Scots voted overwhelmingly against independence.

I therefore suggest a big glass of water. Take two aspirin and call me in the morning.

When you crack the seal on a new bottle, you can smell the peat all the way across the room...

The Whisky

Our whisky is batch made by hand with no computers, matured in fine casks, bottled on site using our own water and is non chill-filtered. We are really proud of these things and believe you will taste the difference too.

Why the Chapters?

As a new distillery we wanted to offer our customers the opportunity to follow the production of a fine single malt whisky, peated and unpeated, from conception through to, well, indefinitely! For this reason we thought it would make easy reading to keep the development in chapters, so at various ages from 1 day old through to 40yr old we will give you the opportunity to taste how the whisky is maturing. Each new bottling will be a new chapter to the 'The Book'.

Originally blended in Oldbury-on-Severn (in South-West England, but only about 5 miles from Wales), it's now blended in Scotland.
