9 Of The Most Terrifying Two Sentence Horror Stories Ever Told

* My daughter won’t stop crying and screaming in the middle of the night. I visit her grave and ask her to stop, but it doesn’t help...

* The last thing I saw was my alarm clock flashing 12:07 before she pushed her long rotting nails through my chest, her other hand muffling my screams. I sat bolt upright, relieved it was only a dream, but as I saw my alarm clock read 12:06, I heard my closet door creak open...

* I begin tucking him into bed and he tells me, “Daddy, check for monsters under my bed.” I look underneath for his amusement and see him, another him, under the bed, staring back at me quivering and whispering, “Daddy, there’s somebody on my bed.”

* A girl heard her mom yell her name from downstairs, so she got up and started to head down. As she got to the stairs, her mom pulled her into her room and said, “I heard that, too."

I'm a retired 8th grade Science teacher but I also had to teach one reading class. Unfortunately, the kids would get pretty bored with reading at times. Sadly, some of them would just say that they hate reading...but all that is another story.
The point I wanted to make here is that I turned Fridays into writing days. Amazingly, almost every one of them really loved it. I would give them the first line of a story and have them just go with it. Some of their work was great. These would have been perfect for the Halloween story.

I guess it wasn't to be. Almost told huge portions of significant life story that I initially didn't intend to.

My two sentences were dialogue which were part of the most terrifying and traumatic event I experienced then went into how at-first I suffered especially since it is difficult to believe. I went over it, over it in my head and told a few after several sleepless months where I just kept it strictly what was said, how they behaved, actions, etc. I got 1 no feedback, my worthless dad advised me to get SSI (based on an e-mail that was long but done quick under a lot of hardship, little rest who I haven't seen in 13 years--he also got hung up on a "god" quote for almost a year. Basically this unexpected ally told me, "Be patient, you'll get out of this. God is on your side." which I included my feelings that I'm not a Christian since the whole thing is unproven to me and so much of what you can prove is bullshit (sun, earth, moon, 7 days) but if there was a god (that was interested in what is right) he certainly wouldn't have been on their no good side regardless of religious affiliation. Kills me, I tear open wounds only to give me a shit for not being convinced on a story he believes and blamed my mood and why I was in the hole that I was in (lack of affordable housing).

Here I go again, if god wanted me to post what I almost had typed out he wouldn't have made it go *poof* when I hit delete, up, or maybe space bar (somewhere around those keys)

In any case, I'll still include the quotes.

"I don't understand while you all are so nervous when I can't think of an easy way to get out of this. You're so worried about protocol (as far as they seemed to be going, it seemed odd like they were conditioned on the right way when it came to little things but were crossing the line where it counted) when you could really fuck me up in here." (and get away with it was clearly implied in the context of things)

One of the main 2 to the other "I'm so glad he said that"
Other "Me too"

They went from what seemed to be "defeated" body language to a "back to work" movement and planning, whispering while my mind is saying "Oh shiiiit."

I'll say whether you believe it or not (which doesn't matter since truth is unaffected) if you're held captive or in a captive-like situation, don't give logical feedback to what they're not doing right or what may be holding them back. If anything, psychological seems to matter. I went from panic, to after a few small victories to almost an arrogance combined w/ seeing them panic & concerned to me losing the confidence to a realization "I'm still here." which led me to blurt that out.

I remember those times well. The first time was at 16. Denise arrived at the pool hall, of course I was happy to see her. She said, "I'm late".

Dummy me, I looked at my watch and told her it was still early.

"How could you completely forget about a final exam that's worth half our grade -- You haven't studied at all?" She asked me incredulously as we walked through those familiar kitschy, Nixon-era doors down the steps into the maw of CHEM-496's cavernous lecture hall, which was already beginning to awaken with the ambient bustle of early, well-prepared classmates...

Oddly, the one thought that stressed me even worse than the imminent flunking of a class which would determine my future was no matter how hard I tried, I could recall nothing of where I had been, nor what I was doing for the entire three weeks leading up to this moment...
