The BAU team is trying to solve a string of bizarre murders in Pasadena involving highly advanced scientific and technical methods. It would appear that the brilliant Spencer Reid has met his match when the team identifies the most likely suspect as Sheldon Cooper, but they have insufficient evidence to arrest him. Sheldon's guilt is being concealed by his girlfriend Amy, who hopes that if she can keep Sheldon out of prison he will finally sleep with her. She has involved Leonard, Penny, Raj, Howard and Bernadette in this scheme by convincing them that they are just helping Sheldon discover a new element. Meanwhile, Sheldon continues to kill, and the BAU team can do nothing to stop him....
