I'm depressed

The Ebola threads in GD, Late breaking news has an article about a murder threats stopping a speech , Politics 2014 has articles about no money going to a Senate race. And my mom, told me she is thinking about voting US Taxpayers candidates for Governor in Michigan.

Please Cheer me up. I am going to make a café au lait then take the dog for a walk. Sigh, a third party candidate?

I've seen lineup photos where everything looked good except they had the suspect sit in the chair directly underneath a red fire extinguisher hanging on the wall. The rest of the wall was blank and painted white.

Maybe volunteer at a local no-kill animal shelter. Walk outside with your dog and look at nature, hopefully there is some near you.

No news, I mean it!

Also, get more daylight, and consider Vitamin D. Lots of folks get depressed this time of year when the days get shorter. I hope you feel better!

but it's all personal. If I thought about the state of the world, I'd be institutionalized.

Here is a performance by 10,000 people in Japan singing the Ode in honor of the victims of the 2011 tsunami that year.

Here's the Libretto:

O friends, no more these sounds!
Let us sing more cheerful songs,
more full of joy!

Joy, bright spark of divinity,
Daughter of Elysium,
Fire-inspired we tread
Thy sanctuary.

Thy magic power re-unites
All that custom has divided,
All men become brothers
Under the sway of thy gentle wings.

Whoever has created
An abiding friendship,
Or has won
A true and loving wife,
All who can call at least one soul theirs,
Join in our song of praise;
But any who cannot must creep tearfully
Away from our circle.

All creatures drink of joy
At nature's breast.
Just and unjust
Alike taste of her gift;

She gave us kisses and the fruit of the vine,
A tried friend to the end.
Even the worm can feel contentment,
And the cherub stands before God!

Gladly, like the heavenly bodies
Which He set on their courses
Through the splendor of the firmament;
Thus, brothers, you should run your race,
As a hero going to conquest.

You millions, I embrace you.
This kiss is for all the world!

Brothers, above the starry canopy
There must dwell a loving Father.

Do you fall in worship, you millions?
World, do you know your creator?

Seek him in the heavens;
Above the stars must He dwell.
