My husband and I had a nice dinner, kids are playing on the computer and we are watching football and might try and watch a movie, but I'm getting tired so may crash soon. It's cool here too, good sleeping weather.

Great news! Congratulations!

the raise won't come through for a month, but my boss is going to give me a gift card to cover the difference. i'm pretty sure it's coming out of his own pocket.

and don't want to

--so i shouldn't have the windows open because it's a bit too chilly

however, i've opened the window several times already, just to breathe in the cool night air

i've been sick for a week and the cold air feels good to breathe

what's going on monday? sounds like you're having a reunion of sorts. whatever it is you're doing i hope you have a great time

window is closed now
won't be turning on the furnace
recently took another airborne
& one of those fizzy alkaseltzer things
my covers await me on the couch--soon i will be curling up to dvds of boston legal, maybe ghost whisperer, & big bang theory

i went to bed last night around 4am
woke up twice (once to a phone solicitor) and then got up at almost three this afternoon. it was light outside for less than four hours. the day seemed to go by so quickly (lol) --

i'm chicken noodle souping it (for the bad cough) and i suspect a peanut butter sandwich will be on the way later (for protein)

again, thanks.

... Absolutely, chicken noodle soup is as important as all the other things Dr ReRe prescribed. Now snuggle up and nighty-night.

it bothers his sinuses, so i keep them closed once it starts to get cold at night. i hope you get to feeling better soon.

this particular friend and i met in high school (she was a freshman, i was a sophomore) and we hit it off right away. then we had the kind of break up only teenage girls can have and didn't talk for nearly five years. we picked up like a day hadn't passed when we finally got back together. she's been living in germany for nine years now and i'm lucky to see her every 18 months or so when she comes back to the states. my life simply doesn't afford me the luxury of visiting her and i treasure every day that we have together. she's bringing her super neat guy and the two of us are going to be football bros for a couple of weeks. we're going to have a sleep over and get drunk and play games. we're going to go to casa bonita (yes, it is a real place). we just had our 18-year friendsversary and i just can't wait.

we live at a busy intersection and a set of train tracks, so there's a lot of noise, but i get to sit and watch the birds and squirrels in the morning and enjoy the night air before bed.

I love to come out here with a glass of wine and the laptop. Listen to some good music and check out all my favorite LIBERAL websites. Just chill, relax and enjoy myself. It really is a wonderful thing!
