So just out of curiousity - what's the gas price in your area

I passed a $2.85 this morning in Delaware. Almost got into an accident when I saw it that cheap.

Curious to see what's happening around the country. I know we can't stay this low this long but for now it's nice.

Cheaper as you go north. I think the best prices are in NJ but Delaware has some great prices now.

Ever notice that gas doesn't go down as fast as diesel, but when the price goes up it does?

Russia combined with worldwide drop in demand.

Lack of demand is due to recession/deflation brewing in Europe and slowdown in China as well. We may be headed toward a triple-dip recession here.

So price will stay low as long as possible to continue punishing Russia, but they won't let it drop below $80/barrel or so or it will start seriously crimping US fracking, which would shut down completely somewhere between $70 and $76/barrel.
