Absolutely Livid. Ripped off by slumlord.

Absolutely made up charges.

Claimed there was cat urine there was not. $100

Cat hair on a sheet charged $100

Charged $35 for mowing grass each time which was supposed to be part of agreement

Charged $15 each time he claimed he pulled a trash can to the curb.

Doubt it.

Charged $65 for a dime store picture in a picture in a plastic frame worth maybe $10 tops.

Apparently charged me for roommate vacuuming living room carpet.

And he told me I could hang pictures and they were in studs. Complete liar.

Again livid.

I can afford this loss. Barely. But I can take the hit.

This lying SOB sells his shame cheap.

Next time, get it in writing.

That way you have some proof of what he promised.

I'm sorry he treated you so badly.

Lived in an attached duplex which was not disclosed when I moved in.

Would just stroll in unannounced all the time.

Blinds in my bathroom so you could easily look in all the time.

He can't keep your security deposit without suing you for it after you do that.

If he doesn't return it, you then sue him for double damages.

(At least in Michigan.)

I totaled her payments at $315. Good luck getting a lawyer to write the landlord a letter for much less. Scummy landlord knows whats he's doing. Collects a nice wad of cash, but keeps it low enough so it's not worth the tenant doing anything.
