"Nothing disappears" in the web, so where is it (gmail)?!1

I spent some creative time on an email and got a message that a graphic could not be sent, did I want to Send anyway, so I said Yes and clicked away.

Now it is nowhere, not in my Sent mail or any other place. Lounge has all answers, so I'm waiting here. Thanks in advance. Lounge will be more efficacious than the Computer forum, so I'll be here (probably in the morning).

Look under "Drafts" - sometimes email that couldn't be sent ends up there for me csziggy Oct 2014 #1
It might be in the big bottomless gmail hole. And, check your "drafts" folder. NYC_SKP Oct 2014 #2

Unless you had an email address in the "to" field.

Now I only know from yahoo mail, which is a cloud service like gmail.

I have lost drafts (you were writing a draft), once or twice.

I learned, however, that if I enter an address in the "to" field, yahoo mail will automatically save to the drafts folder.

If the computer crashed or went to sleep, there would be a copy in the drafts folder.

Take a look.

Hope you're doing well, friend!

You might want to use Mozilla Thunderbird instead of webmail. It does everything webmail does, but keeps a copy on your machine.

However you email, if something looks like it might go wrong a blind cc to another of your email accounts will often see a copy of it if everything else goes wrong.

The last resort would be to CTRL-C the email before sending, and later dump it on to a blank page.
