Kitten needs home

My brother who lives in Maryland (Washington, DC area) is trying to find a home for a friendly little black kitten he has been taking care of. He would like to keep it but he lives with my mother and she won't let him. Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions for no-kill shelters or is interested in a kitten, please let me know. I could probably get some photos. Apparently there are other feral cats and domestic cats which have been dumped in their area which he takes care of but my mother won't put up with it anymore. They travel a fair amount too where they are gone for months at a time so it would be best to relocate these cats. Thanks for any advice. I would love to take the cats but live several states away and am already taking care of four cats myself.
