I guess Rick & company went to find the guys from the Vatos episode in season 1, and came upon this... so, no chance of Rick going back to them for backup.
Slow day...

(56,828 posts)Norm Reedus supposedly cried for an hour after filming it -
I'm guessing that means Carol and/or Beth die?

(46,705 posts)Carol dies and that's a deal breaker.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)I can see Reedus being upset over Emily Kinney leaving the show, but not an hour's worth of tears for her.
That said, Reedus has exaggerated in the past as well - I remember him hyping up the season 3 finale (Welcome to the Tombs) as some sort of major epic ending to the season, but it wasn't quite that good... I thought the midseason finale of season 4 where the Governor finally died (and took Hershel with him) was much better than the season 3 finale where they chased him off.

(82,333 posts)I doubt Carl is going to die any time soon.

(46,705 posts)Though they say that Beth was on set for several days for the filming of the finale, people said not to count out Carol.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)so, it may be we have to wait till next week to find out.
Joe Shlabotnik
(5,604 posts)it'll be a bridge episode to next weeks, maybe someone else will be captured tonight, perhaps were being set up for a rescue mission for a rescue mission gone bad, since Glen knows Atlanta, and its not like his group is doing much at the moment. (just spitballin' here)

(56,828 posts)Carol got her gun snagged by backing through an open door... then, she still doesn't look when going out the building and she gets nailed by the car. You'd think she'd have been on high alert.

(56,828 posts)for Carol?
Brigid
(17,621 posts)Wikipedia says it is used in emergency medicine to increase heart rate and respiration. But that seems to be connected to treating cardiac arrest. Maybe that doctor would use it to try to prevent that?

Brigid
(17,621 posts)Though I don't know how much he'd know about emergency medicine.
I'm guessing that Carol really needs emergency surgery for her internal injuries, which they don't have the ability to do.

(17,621 posts)I once heard about an actress who auditioned for "Baywatch". She said they lived her, but that she would need to lose 20 pounds. She said she would have weighed 97 pounds. Idiots.
the women on the show - Maggie, Beth, Sasha, Tara & Rosita - are all physically attractive.
The guys - Dale, Hershel, Merle - not always the case.
Iris
(15,653 posts)ok, Merle wasn't that old. But, still.
NewJeffCT
(56,828 posts)the actor that played Merle is 59. Norm Reedus is no spring chicken, either, at 45
The only "older" woman currently on the show is Carol, and Melissa McBride is 49 - 10 years younger than Michael Rooker
The other prominent women on the show:
Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies) is now 37
Andrea (Lori Holden) is 44
Jacqui from season 1 is 50
The woman that played Hershel's wife is much younger than Hershel at 48 (Scott Wilson is 72... playing maybe mid 60s?)

(4,909 posts)The scene where Noah is trapped under the bookcase and Daryl takes a pack of cigarettes, brand name "Morley". I new the fictional brand from X-Files. The smoking man smoked Morley.
http://www.toptenz.net/all-tv-is-in-the-morley-universe.php
Lets start with The X-Files. On that show, there was a nefarious character known only as the Cigarette Smoking Man. He was a mysterious, shadowy figure who was often pulling the strings of various schemes. And, obviously, he liked to smoke cigarettes. Morleys, in particular. You know who else smokes Morley? Everyones favorite condescending, zombie bait curmudgeon, Dale. So right there, we can connect The X-Files to The Walking Dead. Considering some of the things Mulder and Scully had to deal with over the years, thats not such a giant leap, right?
Another easy leap is from both of those shows to Buffy the Vampire Slayer. That show featured a Billy Idol-esque vampire named Spike, who was a chain smoking Brit whose cigarette of choice was Morley. Boom, weve got X-Files, Walking Dead, and Buffy all rolled together pretty nicely. But at this rate, with all of those zombies and monsters, Mulder and Scully and Buffy are going to need some help fending for themselves, arent they?
Interesting little Easter Egg.
Joe Shlabotnik
(5,604 posts)then we know that things are about to get medieval in a Quintin Tarantino way.

(46,705 posts)zombies from the school are going to break through the glass.
Except, I don't think that accounts for 800 zombies. I think I read somewhere that the finale had that many roaming around the set.
Maybe we'll get a mini version of Atlanta being burned to the ground a la Gone with the Wind?
