Very odd, but real, musical instruments

It was a musical instrument. Here's a clip from the middle of the film depicting his true life story. He became an international star at the turn of the century, even earning European Kings as his fans for his comedic performances on the Paris stage.

3. The Stroh string/horn family merits mention

Al Dodge of the Cheap Suit Serenaders is playing a totally cool one string Stroh horn on this rendition of Sing Song Girl





Terry Zwigoff (Director of Bad Santa, Ghost World,Crumb), another band member who primarily plays the cello often plays a conventional Stroh violin.
