She wants "stylish-looking grown-up clothes." And dress boots. I have no idea where to begin.
Can anyone point me to some sites where I can get such clothes? Help!
Mrs. V's grand niece is six, with flaxen hair and blue eyes. She lives in eastern Tennessee, is already a cheerleader, and is already a diva. She's a delight.

You can shop by age as well.
Zappos.com is also a good option that has Xmas delivery with free shipping.

(6,336 posts)(ie did the parents tell you what size to buy). From my years in retail, the styles on the girls' clothes change dramatically at size 7 (I was 8-9 when I wore it). Size 4-6X are little girls (one step above toddlers but without diaper allowances in the seat) and styled that way. After that, it's 7-16 which are big girls (and some adults can shop there). When I was a kid, the big girls and little girls looked a lot more similar, but the 7-16 is much more mature looking than 4-6x. The shoe style changes at size 1.
I got my two nieces clothes, but they're 3 months and 2.
If in doubt, get her anything with Frozen on it.

No Frozen. Those clothes aren't stylish or grown-up. She is definitely a diva. 😁

(6,336 posts)And for kids' clothes, I personally need to buy them in person (I need to feel them). If you buy them online, it's preferable to buy at a retailer that you can return in person if needed (a must for clothes as they might not fit). I'll go with my old employer here and see what I can find on their website. I'm going for styles that look older than size 5-6. I know enough about kids clothing to know the style differences so I'm looking for things that can look older. Is she a girly girl?

(3,619 posts)I would get her leggings and a tunic top---that would look cute with boots too. I bought our granddaughter a pair of those imitation UGG boots like this:
