I'm off to see the Christmas lights.

Miz t. insists on taking me on a drive through the neighborhood to see the displays.
I have a large Scotch & water in hand.
It's an annual trip.

"You need to get some Christmas Spirit."
"Yeah, right. Whatever."

And off we go.
Bah, Humbug.

3. The Amazing Animated Rudolph!

On our daily walk this morning (keep moving geezers ) we saw a big tarp staked out on a neighbor's front lawn. There were a couple of 'lumps' visible under it.

???

Tonight we saw what was covered by the tarp.
A giant (8' tall?) inflatable, interior lighted Rudolph.
And the head turns from side to side.

That is so cool on four counts.
1. It's 8' tall.
2. It's animated.
3. It's lit from the interior.
And...
FOUR: They keep the thing deflated and covered during the day.
You HAVE to come by at night to see it in its full glory.

The highlight of my night.
Period.
Merry Christmas.

to see Christmas lights. We live in a small town, so it's a quick trip. It's an annual thing, but usually the kids were along. They're all grown and living away now, but the two of us continue the tradition.
