I just got a notice on my phone (galaxy 4) that a system update was downloaded and they want me to install it.
Is this a dramatic change? I know there's a lot of Luddites on this forum but I'm a little confused on it.

(6,336 posts)I have to do a return in the shopping center that happens to also have my phone's carrier store. Should I just go there and ask?

(16,191 posts)They started pushing it to the S4 in December, so it makes sense that you'd be seeing it now. 5.0 isn't available for the S4, so it probably wouldn't be that.
The change will update some of your icons, but I would install it anyway. 4.4.2 has a few vulnerabilities, including susceptibility to the Heartbleed hole that was such a big deal last year. 4.4.4 corrects all of those problems.

(3,747 posts)There's been a number of smaller changes, and some larger ones in the last year or two. I know I finally updated mine for the first time in a year about a week ago, and it was fairly minor, but some of the new updates are really big. If it's the new one, here's what's likely to be on there:
