I'm going home to Huntington Beach for a week in April. Can't wait!
I miss my sisters so badly. It's a deep, indescribable heartache that never goes away.
But I'll see them in two months!

We certainly plan on sweet memory-making, rurallib.

(130,908 posts)and have a great time! I'm sure you will.
VERY glad you have such a good relationship with your sisters. My daughters don't speak to eachother, causing great distress to eachother and to me.

Do your daughters show any interest in keeping up with what goes on in the other's life? (lives??)
(I'm sorry I missed this -- damn, a month ago already.)

(130,908 posts)I try to forget about the one who has caused all this crap, so for periods of time I don't think about her. That's more difficult now, tho, as she has a 1 year old, and expecting again in October.
Yes, they are interested in knowing what's going on in the others' life, so I tell them (unless prohibited from doing so, which occurs sometimes.)
Bertha Venation
(21,484 posts)That does make things more difficult.
There's a similar situation among one set of Mrs. V.'s cousins. Three sisters, one of them -- the one we're close with -- won't speak to the others. She has very good reason for not speaking to one, but I don't know the reason for the other. They are the daughters of Mrs. V.'s favorite aunt, who died a year ago. It's heartbreaking, and you well know it.

(65,042 posts)There is a bar there that has something like 200 beers on tap. Really outdoor place with a roof. I like it a lot.
My cousins, who lived in Orange County used to hang out at the beach there all through HS and college.
Have fun.
