Game Of Thrones: the big, brain-splattering quiz

Though I've seen each episode and read every book, I didn't expect to do particularly well on this quiz. I did OK. 41 out of 50. Made some silly mistakes and guessed correctly a few times. Some of the answers are pretty funny!

Sorry, if so. This series has some shocking moments in it that should really come as a surprise to feel the impact. Don't look at the correct answers if you haven't yet.

I think there are some disagreements between book and TV series that made me pick the wrong answer.

Winner! All will kneel before you and you will rule with an iron fist. Though this is Westeros, so you’re probably also going to be murdered fairly soon. Sorry.

(* Technically 46, but I had a non-answer for missing the radio button on one I knew, so I'm awarding myself the point... )

Phone browser didn't show two images but pretty sure my total score would be 46 or 47 from 50.

Yeah, I am a geek.

Olenna Tyrell was the mastermind of the plot to kill Joffrey. But the test has that as incorrect. Lady Olenna used Littlefinger to organize it and have it carried out with herself as the one to drop the poison from the necklace into Joffrey's cup. It was Lady Olenna who didn't want her granddaughter stuck in a marriage to Joffrey and realized that if Joffrey was dead his little brother Tommen would become king, and Margery could just as easily be queen by marrying him.

Though this was more clear in the book, there were two scenes in the show that also made it clear that Lady Olenna was the mastermind (the one who conceived the idea/plot) and that Littlefinger just happened to end up being the one to organize the details and have it accomplished. One scene was with Littlefinger and Sansa on the ship where he tells Sansa that he had "new powerful friends" who wanted it done, and another scene between Lady Olenna and Margery where Lady Olenna tells her that she knows Tyrion didn't kill Joffrey and that she wasn't going to let Margery remain his queen knowing that Margery could be married to Tommen and still be queen but with a gentle and kindly king.

Without doubt Lady Olenna was the mastermind since the mastermind is the one that conceives of the plot, and then finds the ones to organize the details and carry it out.

I also got the last question wrong because I have no idea what these other fantasy characters are and wouldn't know who played the part of "Sarah Connor" from Game of Thrones. I guessed on the one about the indie band as well since I could care less as well and just happened to get it right since it was the first one on the list. I also partially guessed on the actor that played Thoros of Myr... I knew the last name was Kaye but guessed between Peter and Paul for the first name and got it right. I almost missed the one about how many actors played Gregor Clegane (and the test spelled his name "Gregot&quot but figured that one out and got it right once I really thought about it.

But I was left wondering who decided to have "Thurnscoe" as an option on question 28. Thurnscoe is a grotty former pit village in South Yorkshire.
