But her dad got a leg blown off by an artillery shell in 30° below zero weather at age 17. He returned to his farm a cripple at age 18, so she has a different perspective on the issue. To her, a military uniform has ugly implications. Her mom lost 3 brothers in that war, and ever since, they have hated all things military, even though saying it out loud before the war ended would have meant the death penalty. One of her brothers was killed less than 5 miles from their house just days before the war ended. If I had worn a uniform at the time we met, my wife wouldn't have given me a second glance.

I donated to a fireman collecting for charity at an intersection yesterday - I'll donate to anyone who is willing to pull my ass out of a burning building.

And all the gals at work flock to see the Marines in uniform, picking up the Toys for Tots donations....yes INDEED

But I have a problem with authority, so....

Although I've answered the door to some pretty hot UPS drivers. That's different.

I love a man in uniform. I also like a man in a suit or jeans. Anything but khakis and a blue shirt.

Military, police officer and firefighter uniforms look good on both men and women.
